COLUMN: Uplifting words

My spirit was lifted reading Larry Frei’s My Turn column on March 3. I read it shortly after reading the depressing rant against Dave Johnson and the government by Paul Banducci. Mr. Frei’s erudite and balanced analysis of the tribalism that exists in our country and in this part of Idaho was excellent. I doubt he will get many, if any, of the letter writers his words were aimed at to search for the truth, but it is uplifting to know that we have people like Mr. Frei in our midst. I want it to be clear that I have never met any of the three persons mentioned here.
