St. Maries, Kellogg come up short in state trophy games

BOISE — Glover Buell and Dan Howard scored 11 points each for St. Maries, but the Lumberjacks lost 59-46 to the Declo Hornets in the state 2A third-place game Saturday morning at Capital High.

St. Maries, which shot 15 of 48 from the field, finishes 18-6. Tyler Lohman had added nine points and seven rebounds.

Trey Smyer had 14 points for Declo (21-5).

Kellogg finishes 18-5.
