BOISE — Things looked good for St. Maries after taking the lead following the first quarter.

Then, things changed.

St. Maries, which finished the game 12 of 54 from the field, lost to the Ririe Bulldogs 54-28 in a state 2A semifinal game on Friday at Capital High.

St. Maries (18-5) will face Declo (20-5) in the third-place game today at 10 a.m. PST at Capital High.

Ririe (22-3) faces Bear Lake (23-3) today in the championship game at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.

MERIDIAN — The Wildcats fought off elimination, beating the Panthers in a loser-out game in the state 3A tournament at Meridian High.

Tyler Gibbons scored 12 points and Chase Jerome had 10 points and five assists for Kellogg (18-4), which faces defending champion Sugar-Salem (21-8) in the consolation championship game today.

Parma finished 15-11.
