Trengove, Burch shine at Junior Olympics meet

PASCO, Wash. — Tyler Trengove, a rising senior at Post Falls High, claimed three wins in the boys 17-18 year-old division at the Inland Northwest Junior Olympics Championships at Southridge High on Saturday.

Trengove, who won the state 5A title in the high jump and long jump, won the high jump at 6 feet, 5 inches, the long jump at 20 feet, 5 inches and triple jump at 43 feet, 3 1/3 inches.

Nate Burch, a rising senior at Coeur d’Alene High, won the boys 17-18 year-old 110-meter hurdles race in 14.71 seconds. Emily Bronson, a rising junior at Coeur d’Alene, was third in the girls 17-18 year-old discus at 118 feet.

The top eight finishers in each event advance to the Region 13 Junior Olympic Championships at Summit High in Bend, Ore., July 5-8.
