J.A. Bertsch Heating & Cooling prepares to move

After a major renovation, J.A. Bertsch Heating & Cooling will be moving in November from 1695 W. Hayden Ave. to 3645 N. Government Way (where Shooters Supply was before its move to Post Falls).

“This will give us more office, shop and yard space so we can grow in years to come,” said Joel Bertsch, owner with his wife, Kim.”

Essential Beauty opens in Dalton

Offering everything for skin care and nails, Essential Beauty Salon Skin & Nails has opened in Suite 3 at 7560 N. Government Way in Dalton Gardens.

Options include manicure, pedicure, acrylic and gel nails, facials, waxing and chemical peels. Walk-ins are welcome. Owner is Victoria Lavrador.

A2Z Storage adds 80 units

Accommodating household and commercial storage, boats and RVs, A2Z Storage is adding four buildings to its location at 10149 N. Ramsey Road in Hayden.

The first building will be done at the end of June with 80 units with size of 10x10 to 14x44 feet, aisles up to 55 feet wide and 12x14 doors. The facility includes onsite management, perimeter security with gate codes, LED lighting, smoke and door alarms and CCTV for security.

With its price as its name says, $28 Foot Massage has opened at 2900 N. Government Way (next to the UPS store).

- Watch for a Jitterz coffee stand at Prairie and Heartland.

- The Bistro on Spruce restaurant has closed after 11 years. We’ll miss that place and its good food and people.

- The Mango Tree, an Indian eatery, will open in the former Fedora location off Kathleen.

- Roger’s Burgers & Ice Cream, already with two places in Cd’A and one in Post Falls, is building a fourth, this one at 8833 N. Hess St. in Hayden.

- Northwest Tea Company will open soon at 4055 N. Government Way (the former Herbie’s Cafe location).

- Collective Kitchen at 501 E. Sherman will open a second eatery in the former Uva location on Lakeside.

- GD Garment District at 311 E. Sherman will open a second location on Fourth Street.

- Watch for Tiffany Blue to the corner location downtown and a new business coming into the old location. A sushi eatery may be coming into 221 E. Sherman.

- A Thai Express eatery will open near Mod Pizza in Crossroads Center at Appleway and Ramsey.

- Great Harvest is closed near Costco and will evidently reopen with new owners. Anyone have info?

- A new Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse is under construction where the Kynrede Cafe was at 8885 N. Government Way in Hayden. And a new Human Bean coffee place is under construction behind ICCU in Hayden.

- Watch for a new Beau Monde Exchange and a new Domino’s Pizza in Post Falls.

- Incrediburger & Eggs will build a new place next to Firehouse Subs on Appleway. And Thomas Hammer Coffee will join the Firehouse Subs building. Idaho Central Credit Union will be across the street.

- New places downtown will be Live For Blu fine art at 505 E. Sherman and The NYC Piano Bar at 313 E. Sherman.

- Ellenbecker Eye Clinic will move this summer from 2140 Riverstone Drive to nearby 2020.

- Hotel news: The Shilo Inn is being remodeled on Appleway and will become a Comfort Suites and Mainstay Suites with 138 rooms, an indoor pool and a meeting room for 50 people. Staybridge Suites hotel is under construction in Riverstone.

- The people who have yard sales every week. Do they report it as income?

- All the toilets in New York’s police stations have been stolen. They have nothing to go on.
