Little, a junior from Lake City High, was named to the 2018 Pac-12 Conference men’s track and field All-Academic team, announced by league commissioner Larry Scott. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and either be a starter or significant contributor, and not be a freshman or transfer student.

Little, who carries a 4.0 and majors in Mathematics/Physics, competes in the steeplechase.

Kris Jackson

Gulf Coast League Red Sox

Jackson, a Lakeland High product, was assigned to the Rookie League Gulf Coast League Red Sox in Fort Meyers, Fla., after signing with the team on Tuesday.

Jackson was selected in the 28th round of the recent MLB Draft after completing his senior year at NAIA Corban College in Oregon, finishing with a 9-4 record and 2.70 earned run average.
