Isis Jo Paulsen, 13

Heaven welcomed a singing Angel on May 26, 2018. Isis Jo Paulsen was born Oct. 7, 2004 in Helena, Mont. She attended elementary school at Athol Elementary in Athol, Idaho, and Hayden Meadows in Hayden, Idaho, and was a seventh-grade student at Canfield Middle School.

Isis loved singing, dancing, camping, shopping and hanging out with her friends and family. She was in choir and jazz choir at school. Isis had a unique sense of humor and a crazy way with fashion. She could always put a smile on someone’s face no matter where she was at. Isis always wanted to make sure everyone felt included and knew that she cared. She touched everyone around her in a special way. We will remember her singing with her karaoke machine at home daily and tripping over her own feet while dancing, her smile larger than life, but most of all her being fearless.

Isis is survived by her parents, Mike and Brenda Paulsen; brothers, Tyler, Austin and Noah Paulsen; sister, Emma Paulsen; grandmother, Louise Guilbault; grandparents, Roger and Marie Paulsen; and her cute-as-can-be niece, Peyton Paulsen. Isis was preceded in death by her grandfather, Keith Baese.

We have been blessed with an overwhelming amount of kindness, support, prayers, hugs and love from everyone who Isis touched during her short life, and we would like to say, “Thank you” to everyone! Also, we would like to thank all the medical responders, Kootenai County Sheriff’s officers and English Funeral Home for your patience and compassion.

We invite everyone to share in a celebration of life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Dalton Gardens City Park (behind City Hall). There will be a memory board of Isis for anyone who would like to add a memorable picture.
