Fresh Mexican Grill opens in Post Falls

Offering fresh standard Mexican food and beverages, Fresh Mexican Grill is now where La Cocina eatery was in the Mullan Plaza building in Post Falls, on Mullan Avenue across from Idaho Central Credit Union and close to Walmart.

Owner Felix Cabrera offers seating in booths and at tables (some huge) and take-out from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Phone 208-981-0205.

Four-story hotel plan for Lee Court

A four-story, 115-room hotel is planned for 1619 W. Lee Court (near Cracker Barrel). A public hearing on the plan will be noon June 28 in the Cd’A City Hall conference room.

The hotel would include a pool and a fitness room. Details are available through the city planning department. The hotel name isn’t available.

Roger’s Ice Cream & Burgers to Hayden

A fourth Kootenai County location for Roger’s Ice Cream & Burgers is planned for 8833 N. Hess St. in Hayden. Construction will start soon with the completion in November.

Established in 1940 in Moscow, Roger’s moved to Coeur d’Alene in the 1980s at Fourth and Sherman where Vault Coffee is now. It moved to 13th and Sherman in the late 1980s and in 2012 opened on Neider Street and last year in Post Falls.

The Human Bean to open soon in Hayden

The Human Bean will open soon in a new building at 8712 N. Government Way in Hayden.

With a two-sided drive-through, a walk-up window and outdoor seating, hours will be 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Phone3 208-772-4446.

- Collective Kitchen at 501 E. Sherman will open a second eatery in the former Uva location on Lakeside.

- GD Garment District at 311 E. Sherman will open a second location on Fourth Street.

- Watch for Tiffany Blue to the corner location downtown and a new business coming into the old location. A sushi eatery may be coming into 221 E. Sherman.

- A Thai Express eatery will open near Mod Pizza in Crossroads Center at Appleway and Ramsey.

- Great Harvest is closed near Costco and will evidently reopen with new owners. Anyone have info?

- A new Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse is under construction where the Kynrede Cafe was at 8885 N. Government Way in Hayden.

- Watch for a new Beau Monde Exchange and a Domino’s Pizza in Post Falls.

- Incrediburger & Eggs will build a new place next to Firehouse Subs on Appleway. And Thomas Hammer Coffee will join the Firehouse Subs building. Idaho Central Credit Union will be across the street.

- New places downtown will be Live For Blu fine art at 505 E. Sherman and The NYC Piano Bar at 313 E. Sherman.

- Ellenbecker Eye Clinic will move this summer from 2140 Riverstone Drive to nearby 2020.

- Hotel news: The Shilo Inn is being remodeled on Appleway and will become a Comfort Suites and Mainstay Suites with 138 rooms, an indoor pool and a meeting room for 50 people. Staybridge Suites hotel is under construction in Riverstone.

- ”Bimonthly” is confusing as “twice a month” or “every other month.” Instead, use “twice monthly” if that’s what you mean.
