Watch the classics roll by at Car d'Lane

| June 14, 2018 1:50 PM

It’s not quite summer in North Idaho until Coeur d’Alene’s classic car weekend kicks off.

The 28th Car d’Lane will be June 15 and 16.

The Friday-night cruise and Saturday show are both free for all spectators.

There’s still time to place a 1980 or pre-1980 car or truck in the activities. Pre-registration closed June 6, but general registration is Friday, June 15, at 12th Street and Sherman Avenue, from

9 a.m. until the start of the cruise at 6 p.m.

Costs to register are: $30 for a Show & Cruise Pass that includes both the Friday-night cruise and the Saturday show; $25 for a Show Only Pass; and $15 for a Cruise Only Pass. The first 450 Show & Cruise or Show Only registrations will receive a four-pack of commemorative beer can pint glasses and a dash plaque.

Half of all cruise entry proceeds go toward local charities.
