Lily May Sorenson, 92

Lily was born on Oct. 3, 1925, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Grady and May Triplett. Lily left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2018. Lily graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, Wash., in 1943. She worked for the Bonneville Power Administration for more than 20 years; she retired in 1995 at the age of 70.

Lily is survived by her son, Jayme (Darlene) Sorenson; sister, Leona Carlson; stepchildren, Ron Jarvis, Kathleen (Chuck) Babbitt, Susan (Dave) Anderson, Cynthia (Ron) Michelbook, Gary (Rita) Jarvis; six grandchildren, Olin Sorenson, Ben (Christina) Sorenson, Elizabeth (Daniel) Mills, Robin (Brad) Sorenson, Jenna (Mike) Janssen and Kimberly (Kevin) Osterman; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Sorenson and her aunt, Violet Clark, whom she lived with for over 20 years.

Lily was the center point of the family. She loved all her family unconditionally and was always ready to help them. No challenge was too great, or detail too small, when it came to being of service to her family. When she was living with her aunt in Post Falls, Idaho, she made the drive into Spokane every weekend to be with her family. She enjoyed working on her computer and she was very creative. Lily, for years, would make greeting cards for any occasion. She would also make signs and banners for family members. Lily lived her life with dignity and grace. Her memory will be with us always.
