Post Falls pair still hospitalized

POST FALLS — The Post Falls citizens who were injured in a T-bone crash in Post Falls on Friday while a wanted stolen vehicle suspect was allegedly attempting to flee police during a vehicle chase remained in hospitals on Wednesday.

Donnie W. Apple, 76, Post Falls, and his passenger, Carolyn F. Apple, 78, Post Falls, were injured in their 2018 Cadillac CT6 at the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Ross Point Road.

Donnie was transferred from Kootenai Health to the Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls Tuesday. Carolyn was in fair condition at Kootenai Health on Wednesday.

The suspect, Levi J. Pogue, 26, Spokane, remains in custody at the Kootenai County Jail on multiple charges, including theft, eluding, aggravated DUI, obstructing and on a probation violation warrant. The first four charges have a $150,000 bond on each charge.

Pogue has been booked into the local jail eight previous times as an adult, including charges of probation violation, burglary, grand theft, obstructing and aggravated assault.
