Controlled hunt applications are back online, deadline to apply is today

| June 7, 2018 1:00 AM

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game’s licensing system has resumed operating and people can apply for controlled hunts online, at license and tag vendors, at Fish and Game offices and via telephone at 800-554-8685.

In light of a recent licensing system failure, Fish and Game extended the controlled hunt application deadline to midnight today (Mountain Daylight Time) for deer, elk, pronghorn and fall bear hunts. All applications mailed in must be postmarked no later than today.

Last year, there were 166,000 applications for those controlled hunts. It is not yet known whether extending the application deadline will affect the drawing and notification dates.
