Shippy, a senior third baseman from Lake City High, was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division I team, earning first-team honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It is the third time Shippy has been named an Academic All-American, making her the first softball player in school history to earn the honor on three occasions. Shippy, who recently graduated from Oklahoma State with degrees in marketing and finance, as well as a minor in accouting, is just the third three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American in Oklahoma State athletics history, joining Oklahoma State football’s Tom Wolf (1972-74) and track/cross country runner Ryan Vail (2008-10).
