Hop aboard and learn about your state parks

| June 5, 2018 1:00 AM

The Critters of North Idaho are about to hibernate for the summer.

At least, that’s the plan for Christian Ryan’s featured furry and feathered friends.

The popular Press correspondent is instead turning his summertime attention to Idaho state parks.

“Summer is approaching, school is out and families will be traveling during this time of year,” Ryan said, pointing out that state parks are a rich resource for mind, body and soul.

He picked eight particularly interesting state parks and, starting next Tuesday, plans to feature one every week through July.

Critters won’t be completely left out, either.

“This series will look at the history of and wildlife one can expect to see in each of the state parks featured,” he said. “Each article will also include a scavenger hunt list of plants, animals and other interesting sights to find in the parks when the families visit.”

Sound like fun? Ryan invites all Press readers along for the trip. First up next Tuesday: Fabulous Farragut.
