Post Falls crash with stolen vehicle sends two to hospital

Two Post Falls residents were injured and a Spokane man is accused of aggravated DUI and resisting arrest following a crash this afternoon at the intersection of Maplewood and Ross Point Road in Post Falls.

Levi J. Pogue, 26, was taken into custody after the 1999 White Chevy Tahoe he was driving, which was reported stolen, crashed into a 2018 Silver Cadillac CT6 driven by Donnie W. Apple, 76.

The crash occurred after Post Falls Police attempted to stop the white Tahoe around 1:12 p.m. on Seltice Way near Ross Point Road, according to a report from Idaho State Police, the agency investigating the incident.

Donnie Apple and his passenger, Carolyn F. Apple, 78, were transported to Kootenai Health.

The investigation is continuing.
