Shaw joins HMH Engineering

HMH Engineering announced the addition of Justin Shaw, P.E. to the HMH team as a project manager.

Shaw is a professional engineer with nearly a decade of civil engineering experience. He has worked on numerous H&H, utility, transportation, and site development projects for public and private sector clients including the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Municipality of Anchorage, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority.

HMH Engineering is a North Idaho-owned company providing engineering and consulting services in the fields of land and site development, water and sewer engineering, material testing, GIS and surveying, and transportation engineering.

ASI welcomes Kaestner

Association Services, Inc. announced Tyson Kaestner has joined the ASI staff as facilities manager.

Kaestner comes with more than 10 years of experience as an assistant manager working his way to a manager who ran the day-to-day operations, security and hired staff to oversee the personal concierge services of a preeminent luxury condominium complex in Coeur d’Alene. Kaestner brings knowledge, education and certifications in protecting commercial property from loss, planning for emergencies, wet system riser check valve inspection, and simulation of fire within high-rise buildings. Kaestner has been a member of Community Associations Institute.

Coeur d’Alene Bancorp announces second quarter results

Coeur d’Alene Bancorp, the parent company of bankcda, announced its quarterly results for the second quarter 2018.

Coeur d’Alene Bancorp reported net earnings of $565,563 or $0.42 per share for the six months ended June 30, 2018, compared to net income of $227,909 or $.17 per share for the six months ended June 30, 2017. The results for 2018 include non-recurring pre-tax revenue of $166,099.

Tangible book value per share increased to $8.45 compared to $7.86 from one year ago.

Total assets ended the quarter at $126.1 million compared to $110.5 million from one year ago which represents a 14 percent increase.

Gross loans grew 3.63 percent to $74.2 million as compared to $71.6 million from the prior year. Gross loans increased $1.5 million or 2.06 percent during the second quarter of 2018.

Total deposits ended the quarter at $114.4 million compared to $99.1 million from one year ago which represents a 15.4 percent increase. Deposits increased $642,000 during the second quarter.

All capital ratios continue to exceed regulatory minimums.

“The structure of our balance sheet has allowed us to benefit from the rising rates, resulting in an increased net interest margin. We continue to have strong liquidity which will allows us to invest with rising rates,” said Wes Veach, bankcda president and CEO.

“We continue to be five-star rated by Bauer Financial, which is their highest rating,” Veach said. Bauer Financial is an independent rating agency for financial institutions.
