Competing in the Special Needs Division, Jacob was Jim’s unified partner for the swim (.5 mile) and run (3.2 miles) events. Jim’s parents served as his bike support for the 15-mile event. Jim and Jacob were chosen to represent Idaho as they attended the Youth Leadership Experience at the Special Olympics USA Games earlier this month in Seattle. They have plans to bring Unified Champion Schools to our area and spread the inclusion movement for all students, those with and without intellectual disabilities.
