Indians top Everett again

EVERETT — Julio Pablo Martinez homered leading off the game, then tripled in the eighth inning as the Spokane Indians beat the Everett AquaSox 7-3 in Northwest League baseball in front of 3,888 at Everett Memorial Stadium on Wednesday.

Spokane (14-19) has won two straight on the road after losing its previous 12 to start the season.

Francisco Ventura had two RBIs and two runs scored for Spokane, which left seven runners on-base in the game.

Cal Raleigh had two hits and two RBIs, his first two of the season for Everett (17-16).

Spokane opens a five-game series at Salem-Keizer tonight at 6:35.
