Blast seeking players: The North Idaho Blast, a girls travel-ball team is seeking players for its 10-and-under team (girls born in 2008 and ’09).

Lake City High Junior Tackle Camp: Lake City High coaches and players provide instruction at a free football camp for all Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle Players entering grades 5-8.

The camp is Aug. 16 and 17 at Lake City High School, from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.

Players are required to bring cleats, mouth guards, full pads, helmet and practice jersey.

Campers will be invited to Lake City’s Navy and Silver team scrimmage Aug. 17 at 7 p.m., for a chance to interact with Lake City varsity and junior varsity players as they complete their fall camp.

Food will be provided for all players and parents who attend the scrimmage.

Coeur d’Alene High Junior Tackle Camp: For the sixth year in a row, Coeur d’Alene High football coaches, in association with the Viking Touchdown Club and the Viking Booster Club is offering a free two-day football skills camp for Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle players entering grades 5-8.

The camp is Aug. 21 and 22 at Coeur d’Alene High School, from 1 to 3 p.m. each day.

Players are asked to arrive with football cleats, practice jersey, mouth guards, full pads and helmet.
