Triathlon to close roads, beach

HAYDEN — Honeysuckle Beach and its boat launch will be closed Friday, July 13, from 10 p.m. through Saturday, July 14, at 11 a.m. for the Hayden Triathlon, said Hayden Director of Recreation and Community Events Suzanne Cano on Wednesday.

All areas will reopen at 11 a.m., and lifeguards will be on duty for the normal, scheduled hours of 12-6 p.m. Only local resident access will be allowed. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed.

Roads impacted by the event include: Honeysuckle, East Hayden, Chalet, Maple, Strahorn, Government Way, Smith, Wayne, Dakota, Miles, Lacey, Wyoming, Buckles, Kelly Rae, Lancaster, Boekel, Orchard, and Finucane.

These roads will not be closed, but drivers may be re-routed or experience delays, Cano said.
