Northern Lakes falls short to Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Brandon Gay hit a three-run home run in the top of the third inning for Northern Lakes, but the Mountaineers came up short 5-4 to Sandpoint at War Memorial Field on Tuesday.

Colton Aragon also had an RBI single in the sixth inning for Northern Lakes (11-4).

POST FALLS — Tanner McCliment-Call hit a solo home run in the opener and doubled twice in the nightcap for the Cardinals in a doubleheader loss to the Twin City Titans of Richland, Wash., at Post Falls High.

Matt Fleming, Harrison Reid and Derek Pearse had an RBI each in the second game for Prairie (5-18), which opens the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Fourth of July wood-bat tournament on Thursday against Northern Lakes at Post Falls High starting at 8 a.m.
