Kaci Haeg

St. Maries High

Haeg, a 5-foot-9 junior post, totaled 31 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists for the Lumberjacks in a 62-47 win over Grangeville on Saturday to clinch the Central Idaho League title. Haeg also scored 17 points for the Lumberjacks in a nonleague win on Monday at Kellogg. “She’s always had a knack for getting open,” St. Maries coach Jay Sines said. “Now, she’s figuring out how to score, and it couldn’t come at a better time.”
