COEUR d’ALENE — Post Falls, on the heels of 12 semifinalists, opened up a 41.5-point lead with 139.5 points after the first day of the eighth-annual North Idaho Rumble on Friday at Coeur d’Alene High.
Roddy Romero (98 pounds), Braxton Mason (98), Lane Reardon (106), Isaac Jessen (113), Jordan Grimm (120), Ridge Lovett (126), A.J. De La Rosa (132), Matt McLeod (138), Mathias De La Rosa (145), Tyler Morris (152), Braydon Huber (160) and Coleton Kazmierczak (170) advanced to today’s semifinal round for Post Falls, which has won the previous six titles.
Alex Edelblute (106), Sam Edelblute (113), William Edelblute (126), Larry Johnson (145), Cage Hendry (145), Wyatt Gatten (160), Curtis Johnson (170) and Lucas Gardner (285) advanced to the semis for Lakeland, which is second with 98 points.
Hunter Schueller (120), Payton Keough (132) and Mitchell Moffat (145) advanced to the semis for Coeur d’Alene, which is third with 66 points.
Wrestling resumes today at 9 a.m., with semifinals scheduled for 11:30 and championship finals for 4:30 p.m.
