Melody Kempton

Post Falls High

Kempton, a 6-foot senior post, moved past Katelyn Loper as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,384 points, scoring 12 points in the Trojans 36-22 win over Lake City last Friday to clinch the 5A Inland Empire League title. Kempton had 26 points and eight rebounds in a Jan. 18 win over Mt. Spokane. “She is the ultimate team player and always puts the team first — one of the reasons for winning so many games in her career,” Post Falls coach Marc Allert said.
