OREGON CITY, Ore. — Esco Walker, in and out of the lineup with an elbow injury, impressed with a technical fall at 125 pounds, but fifth-ranked (NJCAA) North Idaho College fell to top-ranked Clackamas Community College 34-14 on Saturday.

NIC coach Pat Whitcomb said Damian Trujillo (285), ranked fourth, controlled his match before finishing with a one-point victory over fifth-ranked Darryl Aiello.

Levi Perry of NIC, ranked fourth at 184, pinned fifth-ranked Nick Maximov for another Cardinal highlight.

“They’re good; they’re ranked No. 1 for a reason,” Whitcomb said of Clackamas. “We wrestled hard. We’ve got some things to correct, obviously.”
