“Mitchell just kept wrestling hard and was losing his last match and caught his opponent on his back and pinned him,” said Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat, whose team has four wrestlers in the consolation bracket. “It’s going to be tough on Saturday, but we’ve got to wrestle one match at a time. We let a couple get away, but that’s sports. We need to just keep plugging away and get better each match. Our kids competed hard, but we’ve got to win some tough matches.”

Brayden Herbert (98) and Isaiah Evans (120) advanced for Timberlake, which is 27th.

Braxton Mason (98) and Wyatt Shelly (160) also advanced to the quarters for the Post Falls “B” team.
