Patricia Marvis Glenn, 79
Patricia Marvis Glenn was born Dec. 4, 1938, in Owensboro, Ky. She went to join our Lord and Savior on Dec. 16, 2017, after a two-month battle with complications due to a pulmonary embolism.
Patricia is survived by her three siblings, Pamela Gray, Gerald Wedding and Julie Weathers. She is also survived by her four children, Andrew, Shanda, Darrell and Dane Wolfe. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many others who loved her as part of their families.
Patricia Glenn was a true Servant of the Lord. During her lifetime she went on countless missionary trips around the globe, from Japan, China, Lithuania, Philippines, Panama, Honduras, Mexico, Canada, El Salvador, and many places here in the continental United States. She used these trips to touch and help heal so many lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
She was a true volunteer at heart. Back at home it was Kootenai Health, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Agency on Aging, Ironman, Lake City Community Church, Idaho Youth Thrift, Food Banks and lots of Christian concerts. Anyone who needed help, she was signed up.
Patricia was a member of Daughters of American Revolution, Women of the Moose, Toastmasters International, Victor Valley and Hemet Valley Hospital Auxiliaries, Calvary Community Church, Christian Reformed Japanese Mission, Who’s Who In California and Lake City Community Church.
Patricia M. Glenn achieved many educational and business accolades. She was a graduate of Grossmont College, San Diego State University, National University (mba) and Cal State San Bernidino (m ed-special ed). She was a former escrow officer, real estate broker, adjunct business professor at Rio Hondo College and Victor Valley College, and a former teacher for Adelanto, Hesperia, Apple Valley, Snowline, Victorville, Hemet and San Jacinto school districts. She also worked for the Defense Audit Agency in Washington, D.C.
Patricia was truly “The Lord’s Servant”; her work here was completed. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all who knew her. I know if there is Volunteering in heaven, she’s already signed up for everything.
A memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, on Jan. 15, 2018, at Lake City Community Church, 6000 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please volunteer to help someone in need!
