KIDS: Don't listen to them

| February 28, 2018 12:00 AM

Do we really need to listen to the kids on gun issues in schools? Are these the same children who bully and tease other kids and ostracize others because they think or dress differently? Do you really believe the kids walking out of school are protesting because they care about these issues or just want to get out of school?

How many of these kids remember wars that were won with guns? Heck how many know any history at all? Do they really think you can make laws to change morality?

I see all this interest in what kids think as feel good stuff, we are including them because we care so much about what they think. Is that why we took the flag out of the school and prayer along with it? Is that why we banned the Ten Commandments from some institutions. We as adults did this because we wanted our children to feel included!

We taught our kids there is no right or wrong and not to judge others. We taught our kids that their parents don’t know everything and that to correct your child could be child endangerment.

How many of us had wisdom in our teenage years? How many of us had great knowledge and thought in depth of some of the great issues in life?

Sorry, but I do not want to listen to the me, hash tag generation, Twitter or Facebook generation on how to solve our great problems.
