The Great West Gym Fest was held this past weekend at The Coeur d’Alene Resort and hosted by Avant Coeur Gymnastics.

Shootout champs: The 18th annual Lake City Shootout boys basketball tournament, hosted by the Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department was held last weekend, with games in four school district gymnasiums. There were 22 teams entered, 16 from outside the area coming from as far away as Missoula, Mont., and Ellensburg, Wash. The Rebels placed first in the fifth-grade division, with runner-up Running Rebels. The Phenoms placed first in the sixth-grade division, with runner-up Moscow Sharks. The Idaho Rebels placed first in the seventh-grade division, with runner-up Ellensburg Elite.
