David Alan Hunter, 49

It is with great sadness that on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at 7:45 a.m., David Alan Hunter, 49 passed away at home after a long battle with cancer.

David will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 13 years, Jennifer, and his two four-legged children, Hoagie and Frankie. David will also be fondly remembered by his mom, Carol Hunter; sister, Tracie Hamilton; brother, Bobby Hunter (and their spouses), along with numerous nieces and nephews.

After living in Post Falls, Idaho, and Dutch Harbor, Alaska, they settled in Bonney Lake, Wash., where he worked for UnitedHealthCare Military and Veterans, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord as an enrollment specialist. David also was an avid member of the softball community, most recently playing and coaching on For The Fallen and NW Legends. He will definitely be missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1011 N. Compton St., Post Falls, Idaho. A military honors ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Road, Medical Lake, Wash.
