Janet Cooke woke Sunday morning to find her Rathdrum Prairie yard covered in snow rollers, a rare meteorological phenomenon.
Snow rollers form naturally as the wind blows chunks of snow along the ground, picking up material like self-made snowmen. These snowballs can only form when wind levels, temperature and snow consistency are just right.
