Betty Sue Hervey, 80

Betty “Sue” Hervey, 80, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away Feb. 19, 2018, peacefully. She was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Nashville, Tenn., to William and Virginia Henry.

She first married Edward Prigge in 1956. They had five children: Edward, Deborah, Mark, Robert and Theresa. In 1967, she married James L. Hervey and had two children: Lynette and Jim.

She was an amazing cook, wife and mother. During her work career, she spent many years working in senior living facilities as a caregiver taking care of so many people that couldn’t take care of themselves. Her favorite pastime in the last 10 years was to follow her daily routine at Denny’s Restaurant with many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, James L. Hervey; brothers Bill, Bob and Dick; her son, Robert and daughter Lynette; grandson Mark and her son-in-law, Dennis. She is survived by her children, Ed (Mary) Prigge of Kansas City, Kan.; Deb Aufenkemp of Julian, Neb., Mark Prigge of Kansas City, Mo., Theresa Prigge of Memphis, Tenn., and Jim (Shelly) Hervey of Connell, Wash. Also survived by her Aunt Gladys of Morrison, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Graveside services will be at Cook Cemetery in Cook, Neb., at a later date.
