ABORTION: Senator must go

State Sen. Dan Foreman, in his recent outburst against his constituents, must have taken a page from Donald Trump’s playbook: When confronted by an opponent, be sure to respond illogically and loudly; and curse if you have to, to lend gravitas to your position. I’m asking the citizens of Moscow (Idaho) to make his first term his last one.

Catholic legislators or anyone else who claims “abortion is murder” is using a standard totally separate from either the U.S. or Idaho constitutions. They are using dogma that comes straight from the Vatican. I’m thinking those of us who are not Catholic do not like having such doctrines imposed upon us.

If abortion is truly murder, then the obstetrician who attended my wife’s final pregnancy deserves the gas chamber. Of course, had he not aborted the fetus, then my wife would have died.

Abortion is first and foremost a medical procedure, and the decisions made by the involved parties are their concern, and none others — especially unenlightened junior state senators.
