Food bank asking for community's help

| February 22, 2018 12:00 AM

COEUR d’ALENE — The Community Action Partnership Kootenai County Food Bank is starting to run low now that the holidays are over.

The food bank, which serves 1,000 people and distributes 25,000 pounds of food in the community each week, is asking for help to restock its pantry shelves with non-perishable, non-expired items for food boxes.

Donation items needed are: condensed/ready-to-eat soup, canned beans/chili, boxed sides such as pasta and rice, canned fruit, canned vegetables and tuna.

To help, bring donations to the CAP Food Bank, 4144 W. Industrial Loop in Coeur d'Alene, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
