Karen Carlos

Karen passed away on Feb. 13, 2018, after an eight-year battle with cancer. She was born on May 20, 1947, in Spokane, Wash., to Wayne and Rosemary Faulkner. She graduated from University High School in 1964 and Sacred Heart School of Nursing in 1967.

In 1967 she married Barry Simon, the father of her two children. She later married Andy Carlos who passed away in 2006. She met the love of her life, Randy Crockett on a blind date in 2009, and they had nine wonderful years together. They traveled, camped, loved the ocean and being with family and friends. Karen loved throwing parties, gambling, reading, gardening, goofing off and telling jokes.

Karen is survived by her mother and siblings, John (Cris) Faulkner, Christine (Scott) Jamison, Michael (Vicky) Faulkner, Janice (Jeff) Hoover, Brian Faulkner and Jeffrey (Kris) Faulkner; her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Missy Simon; grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan, Noelle and Stephanie (Kevin) Martin; great-grandson Brayden; her daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Marcus Carr and grandchildren, Savannah and Matthew. She is preceded in death by her father in 1993 and sister Maureen (Mike) Girtz in 2013, which saddened her deeply.

At her request, there will be no viewing or services, just her ashes in the wind in the meadow at Sun Meadows, with a party to follow sometime in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society.
