CELLPHONES: Now hear this

| February 16, 2018 12:00 AM

Enough laws already.

Folks, we do not need a cellphone law. We simply need to enforce the full-time and attention law. It’s vague enough to use for cellphones, coffee drinking, makeup applies and the sort. And ONLY when the driver poses an immediate risk to the rest of the public. Not just because they are on the phone and driving within legal standards. A cellphone law on the books is a slippery slope that further separates the ever increasing gap between government and we the people.

Spare me the victim speech and the egocentric politician who wants their name on the law and could give two cents about the dead or injured caused by distracted drivers.

Again, the full-time and attention law already on the books is more than sufficient.
