Mary Widmyer, 77

Mary Widmyer, 77, passed away on Feb. 11, 2018, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House. Mary was born April 21, 1940, in Giese, Minn., to Carl and Maybelle Haakenson. She graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1958. That same year she married Duane Widmyer. They resided in Stillwater, Minn., where their two children, Kathleen and Steven, were born.

In 1963 the family made the decision to move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Mary spent her early years in Coeur d’Alene as a homemaker. In the 1970s she went into the nursing profession, graduating from North Idaho College as an LPN. She also spent many years as a property manager. Mary enjoyed singing and dancing, her flower garden, and spending time with family and friends. She will be forever known as having a great sense of humor which she enjoyed sharing with everyone she met.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathleen of Coeur d’Alene; her son, Steven and his wife, Marie, of Coeur d’Alene; her grandson, Jackson and granddaughter, Tessa; her grandson, Ben and his wife, Lindsey; her grandson, Matthew; her granddaughters, Kaity and Kasey; and her great-granddaughter, Quinn.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Pacifica and the Schneidmiller Hospice House for their kindness and care of Mary.
