Patrick ‘PJ’ Joseph Calligan, 20

PJ went to walk with his Heavenly Father on Feb. 11, 2018. He was born to Patrick and Shawntel (Noonan) Calligan on Jan. 23, 1998, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was the eldest of three boys and the family resided in Hayden, Idaho for most of his growing years. He attended Coeur d’Alene High School and then Lake City High School. He graduated in 2016 and then went to work at Burger King, where he was a manager and most recently at Taco Bell. PJ had recently signed up for the Marines and had become engaged to the love of his life, Vivian Redd.

“We will see you again someday, in a heavenly place where there is no parting; a place where there are no words that mean goodbye.”

PJ was outgoing, fun, and goofy and loved to make everyone laugh. One of his favorite things to do was to wrestle with his brothers and friends, practicing their favorite WWE moves in the living room, much to the detriment of the furniture! He was known for his outrageous clothing choices and never-ending random facts about celebrities and sports figures, especially the WWE. He loved the New England Patriots and was a huge Tom Brady fan. In high school, he played football and was also on the wrestling team for which he won several medals.

Lovingly remembering PJ are his parents, Patrick and Shawntel Calligan; his brothers, Shane (Dusty) and Niklaus (Nik) Calligan; grandparents, Klaus and Colleen Noonan; aunts, Kelly Raybell (husband Joe), Heather Noonan-Sheeks (husband Samuel), Christa Peabody (husband Nathan), Andrea Noonan-Wattrud (husband Shayne); grandparents, William and Susan Calligan; uncle, William E. Calligan (wife Michelle); aunt, Sara Ellis (husband Tony); cousins, Quincey Raybell, Emily, Alex, Eric and Drew Peabody, Dillon Noonan, Wyatt Noonan-Wattrud, Eli Wattrud, Hannah Pedersen (husband Rafe), William C., Eric Calligan, Richard (Ricky), Ryan, Maggie, and Molly Thomas, Liam Ellis and many more family and friends.

PJ’s light shown as brightly as it did briefly; to know PJ was to love PJ. He was truly a kind-hearted and loving young man who always left people better than he found them. His smile and laughter could brighten everyone’s day. PJ will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to have him touch their lives.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Grace Bible Church, 152 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815. Reception and an informal time of sharing will follow the service.
