Financial disclosure has two more champions

| February 9, 2018 12:00 AM

Ron Edinger and Steve Roberge are doing their part to promote transparency despite an Idaho House committee’s refusal to require elected officials to publicly list their financial interests. Idaho and Michigan are the only states that do not require this minimal disclosure.

The Press will continue to publish voluntary financial disclosures from elected officials as they’re submitted. The disclosures are meant to alert citizens to potential areas where conflicts of interest could arise. All elected holders of city, county and state offices from Kootenai County are encouraged to follow the format below, emailing their information to Editor Mike Patrick: mpatrick@cdapress.com
