Dorothy Deal Kenney, 93

Dorothy Deal Kenney, 93 years old, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away on Tuesday morning, Feb. 6, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.

Dorothy (Stover) Kenney was born in Homedale, Idaho on Oct. 28, 1924, on a farm and she graduated from school there. She loved people and served them as a waitress for 30 years. She loved painting and all kinds of crafts, and playing games and winning them.

She was happily married to Marshall Kenney for 37 years. They loved to travel to places like Yuma, Ariz., Reno, Nev., and Redding, Calif., during the colder months, but Coeur d’Alene was her hometown.

Dorothy in preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mamie Stover; her son, Gary Fackler; and her sisters, Ruby Parker and Erma Lyle.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon Peck of Coeur d’Alene; seven grandchildren, Gary Fackler, Rosie (Rob) McClung, Tammy Blume, Mark Jerome, Sheree Branson, Darren Jerome and Steven Jerome; nephews, Dave (Liz) Parker, Raymond Parker, Robert Parker, Calvin Parker and Joe (Jo) Parker; niece, Leila LaGore; and many great-grandchildren, great-nephews and great-nieces.
