Frank Harris, 72

Frank Harris left us for eternal life in Heaven, succumbing to cancer, on Feb. 7, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by his family.

Frank was born on April 22, 1945, in Nampa, Idaho. He was an accomplished athlete at Nampa High School. He played football, wrestled, and ran track; setting state records in the 4x400 meter relay. He then met Donna Myers, the love of his life. Frank and Donna were married on Feb. 2, 1964.

Frank and Donna then moved to Coeur d’Alene where they raised three children, Brian Harris, Lori (and her husband Jim Putman), Jimmy (and his wife Cassi Harris).

Then, they moved to Kirkland, Wash., in 1985, where Frank worked for The University of Washington as an estimator. They lived in the Seattle area for 18 years. They returned home to Rathdrum, Idaho, to be near their children and grandchildren in 2006. Frank and Donna have nine grandsons, three great grandsons and one great-granddaughter. They celebrated 54 years of marriage surrounded by friends and family at their home just 10 days before Franks passing.

Frank loved the great outdoors — fishing, hunting and camping. He and his wife owned a boat and enjoyed many fishing trips to Sekiu and Canada. He was always busy helping someone with a project, famously building his grandchildren a 250 square foot “fort” with heating and a shower! Frank attended Real Life Ministries in Post Falls where he served driving golf carts between the weekend services. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt right off of his back. Frank was a very faithful and generous man. After he retired he enjoyed painting in his “art shop” that he designed and built himself.

We will be celebrating Frank’s life with friends and family at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Real Life Ministries.
