Daryl Gankema, 76

Daryl Gankema, 76, passed away Feb. 4, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born Jan. 23, 1942, in Grand Haven, Mich., to Herman and Kathryn (Fich) Gankema.

Daryl truly loved coaching football to the kids in southern California. He was a proud, loving Grandpa, loving husband and father. He will be greatly missed.

Daryl is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia; daughter, Kelly Cool; son, Christian Gankema; daughter, Christine Cleveland; daughter, Amy Jo Phillips; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Real Life Ministries — Upper Room.
