CAMERON: Missed Trump facts

| February 7, 2018 12:00 AM

Stopped reading Mr. Cameron’s articles a while back, but on Feb. 1, the headline of his column caught my eye. Having an interest in politics, I decided to give him another chance.

He started his piece by saying Donald Trump, not President Trump’s, SOTU speech was “decent.” He went on to say that it was approved by half the population, but that was because it was scripted, rehearsed, written by others and delivered with the use of a teleprompter. He then went on to laud some of our local pols, saying unlike Trump, these guys can think on their feet and do not need the aforementioned props.

Apparently, the columnist was either AWOL or in a coma during the presidential primary debates. Then-candidate Trump, without notes, script or teleprompter, summarily defeated 10 highly qualified opponents: Cruze, Paul, Rubio, Bush, Carson and Kasich just to name a few.

After beating these doctors, senators and governors, he went mano a mano and trounced Clinton even though she knew some of the questions that were going to be asked. Check out the graphic that shows results on election night. It is practically all red! He won about 85 percent of all the counties. Not bad for a guy who cannot think on his feet.
