Two arrested in murder case

| February 6, 2018 12:00 AM

Two suspects are in custody after Thursday’s apparent carjacking murder of a 2010 Post Falls High graduate in Odessa, Texas.

Ryan Stebbins, 26, moved to Odessa from Kootenai County about two years ago. He formerly worked at the Unitech Composites aerospace company in Hayden.

Odessa Police charged Michael Tarin Silvas, 35, and Johnny Ray Aguirre, 36, with murder.

Silvas was arrested early Saturday morning in Crane, Texas, while Aguirre was already in custody at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center in Odessa on unrelated charges.

The investigation revealed that while a suspect or suspects were attempting to steal Stebbins’ work vehicle, a disturbance occurred and Stebbins was shot in the chest.
