Barbara Lee Strobel, 87

Barbara Lee Strobel, age 87, passed away at Lacrosse Health and Rehabili-tation in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Jan. 27, 2018, after a 20-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

Barbara was born to Frank and Mary (VanDitto) Hester, Sept. 17, 1930, in Wallace, Idaho. She was raised in Medimont and graduated from Rose Lake High School in 1948. Barbara married John (Jack) Strobel, Feb. 12, 1949. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren. She also took pride in her crochet and knitting projects.

She is survived by four children, Dennis Strobel, Denice Raines, Donald (Sandra) Strobel and Walt (Sheryle) Strobel. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Leigh Duell, John Raines, Jason (Sarah) Strobel, Heidi (Chris) Lewis, Owen Strobel, Brandon (Amy) Strobel; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son, Dallas; and sister, Beatrice.

There will be a celebration of life service held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at The Coeur d’Alene Lake City Center, 1916 N. Lakewood Drive, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. Memorials may be made to Rose Lake Historical Society, 14917 S. Queen St., Cataldo, Idaho 83810.
