POST FALLS — The number 13 was pretty good for the Post Falls Trojans on Thursday night.

Jake Pfennigs scored 19 points and David Bourgard added 13 points for the Trojans, who made 13 3-pointers in a 64-38 win over the Lewiston Bengals to clinch the 5A Inland Empire League title at The Arena.

“We shared the ball really well to start the game,” said Post Falls coach Mike McLean, whose team jumped out to a 23-8 lead after the first quarter on the heels of five 3-pointers as a team. “We did a good job of breaking down their defense.”

Post Falls led 41-18 at halftime after hitting nine 3-pointers in the first half.

“I thought we played really well both offensively and defensively,” McLean said. “This time of year, it’s always good to see that on the defensive side of the ball.”

Tanner McCliment-Call scored 11 points for Post Falls (15-5, 5-0 5A IEL), which hosts Lake City next Friday.

Connor Grainger scored 11 points for Lewiston (8-11, 1-4), which hosts Coeur d’Alene next Friday.
