PHILLIPS: Political casualty

We have known Carrie Phillips since she was a student at Lakeland High School. I was her high school counselor. Carrie was a great student who was friendly, outgoing and responsible. She always had a smile for everyone.

My wife worked for Carrie on elections in Rathdrum. Carrie was the election supervisor for the county. Diann was impressed with Carrie’s professional demeanor, her organization and efficiency.

Good people who are doing a great job should not have to be affected by party politics. It is sad to see one of its outstanding employees be a victim.
