PHILLIPS: Good one gone

| December 23, 2018 12:00 AM

I’m not sure what to say except I’m still hell-bent furious. It seems that employment at the county is less than desirable for good decent people. My neighbor, Mary Beth, lost her job. A widow and mother of two said she would rather live on unemployment and pay COBRA than work for the county.

When I’ve taken the seniors I help to the election office to register and/or vote — they have bad vision and trembling hands — the staff i.e. Carrie Philips would conduct themselves professionally and assist the elderly effectively.

When the state of Idaho required me to sue a dead guy over a simple car accident, Pat Raffee’s integrity was one I never questioned. She and Carrie both operated in good faith.

What about Skye Reynolds, the personnel director? Did she get up and go all on her own?. And then there was Sam Taylor. Hasta la vista, baby.

It’s a shame that good, qualified people don’t fit the criteria of the modern Republican Party, i.e. the redoubts and the Idaho Freedom Foundation supporters. It just seems to me that people need not walk on pins and needles as part of duties and responsibilities to the taxpaying public. Replacing Pat Raffee with Jennifer Locke when there’s so many choices, that was just wrong. I’m certain Carrie Phillips’ replacement will be just as unqualified for this very important position as Jennifer is to the clerk’s office.
