Miller and Tillman earn GUILD recognition

Darren Miller and Kathleen Tillman, of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, earned the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing’s Million Dollar GUILD recognition for experience, knowledge, expertise and production in million dollar and above residential properties. Darren and Kathleen are Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialists, a group of real estate professionals who have completed The Institute’s training and have a proven performance in the upper-tier market.

The specialized training and ongoing membership with The Institute provide Darren and Kathleen with the knowledge and tools to better serve affluent clients. The GUILD recognition provides evidence of the successful commitment to service at the highest level.

Kootenai Electric welcomes new employees

Kootenai Electric Cooperative announced the addition of four new employees.

Michael Thomas will serve as system engineer. He most recently worked for CoServ Electric Cooperative as an electrical engineer in Corinth, Texas.

In his new role, Thomas is responsible for engineering processes and procedures, including: long-range and short-range engineering studies, financial plans and system planning, design and construction according to applicable standards at the cooperative.

Thomas graduated from Texas A&M University with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an emphasis in power and signals and systems, as well as minors in business and mathematics. Thomas is a Registered Professional Engineer and has his NRECA Supervisory Program certificate.

Scott W. Davis is the new vice president of engineering and technical services for KEC. Davis most recently worked for Ellett & Gaynor Professional Engineers as a principal and executive manager of the firm, in Amarillo, Texas.

In his new role at the cooperative, Davis is responsible for directing system planning and developing designs and improvement recommendations for the construction, operation, maintenance, service, safety and training activities of the engineering department.

Davis graduated from Texas A&M University with his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems analysis. Davis is a licensed professional engineer and active member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), with 25 years of experience in the industry.

New human resources administrator Jessika Applegate most recently worked for North Idaho Family Physicians as a staff accountant in Coeur d’Alene.

Applegate is primarily responsible for administering benefits, including assisting with recruiting and hiring, compliance, workers’ compensation and other human resource functions.

She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in human resources management and a minor in accounting.

Gery Hirsch has been appointed as manager of member services. Hirsch most recently worked for Snohomish County PUD No. 1 as a customer service manager of call center operations in Everett, Wash.

In his role at the cooperative, Hirsch is responsible for planning, organizing and leading all activities of member services and ensuring members receive exceptional service and support.

Hirsch has more than 20 years of experience in customer and member services and holds a degree focused in business administration.
