Schmidt

Schmidt joins Architects West

Robert (Bob) Schmidt, AIA, has been hired as a project architect and brings more than 24 years of architectural experience to Architects West.

Schmidt previously worked for Longwell + Trapp Architects and Integrus Architecture (Spokane). He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho in 1993.

Schmidt is licensed in the State of Idaho and is AIA and NCARB Certified. His experience includes civic, K-12, higher education, commercial, justice and government projects.

He coaches youth sports (football, baseball and fastpitch softball). He also is a national board member for the University of Idaho VSF and an executive board member for the Kootenai County Girls Softball Association. Some of Schmidt’s current projects include work on an office remodel and the City of Richland Water Treatment Facade Replacement, among others.

Braga earns Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor credential

Merrill Lynch recently announced that Troy Braga of the firm’s Coeur d’Alene office has earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) credential offered through the National Association of Plan Advisors, an affiliate organization of the American Retirement Association.

“We are proud to congratulate Troy on earning the CPFA credential,” said Tim Burnett, market executive.

A resident of Coeur d’Alene, Braga received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho and a master’s degree from Washington State University. Lundy to serve as district VP for Idaho Realtors

Denise Lundy of Fortus Realty was recently elected to serve a two-year term as North District Vice President to the Idaho Realtors. In this capacity, Lundy will serve the State of Idaho Realtors as an Executive Committee member and will represent the approximately 4,000 members that make up the North District of the state of Idaho Realtors Association. Lundy also serves the Idaho Realtors as a Public Policy Trustee, overseeing the fundraising and expenditures of the RPAC and the Legal Review/Issues Mobilization Fund.

Christenson returns to Circling Raven

David Christenson was recently named golf director at the Coeur d’Alene Casino’s Circling Raven Golf Club.

Christenson previously worked at Circling Raven as its first director of golf, overseeing the club’s opening in 2003. He left in 2007 to manage the Lyman Orchards complex in Middleton, Conn., and returned to the Northwest in 2013 as general manager at Gamble Sands near Brewster, Utah.

Most recently, Christenson was the city of Spokane’s golf manager, overseeing four city courses.

A product of Spokane public golf, Christenson is a graduate of Shadle Park High School where he was golf team captain. After a stint at Spokane Falls Community College, he matriculated on to Washington State University and a golf scholarship with the Cougars. His professional experience began as an assistant pro at Inglewood Country Club in Seattle. He was an assistant at Spokane’s Sundance Golf Course and then Indian Canyon before his first major opportunity appeared at Circling Raven.
